To allow users to record a telephone interview and link the recording to the candidate database record, Interview Coordinator integrates with 151-151 to make and record the call and then insert a unique URL into the “Interview Content” history of candidate record.
151-151 has recently added a couple of new features which make this function easier and even more useful:-
Add “time-tags” to interview recordings.
Now, while you are making the telephone interview recording, you can add time markers (or “tags”) to the recording, so it is easy to return and listen to specific sections of the recording corresponding to the time marked or tagged.
For example a time-tag could be added to mark the part if the recording where the candidate answers a specific question. Whoever is given access to the recording (and it is easy to distribute to anyone you choose) can then jump directly to that part of the recording to listen to the answer.
International telephone number validation
Given the multitude of different ways people can enter a telephone numbers into a database, it’s not always easy to allow for all the different formats when passing the number to the 151-151 auto-dialler to make the recorded interview call.
To make things a little easier, 151-151 has integrated with an online telephone number validation API published and hosted by those nice people at Google.
The Google API will check the number for the correct format and number of characters and return a success of fail message. However, the service will only work if the number you send it begins with the international dialling code for country (E.G. +1 for America & Canada or +44 for UK)
So …. if you now enter the Candidate telephone numbers so they begin with a + (plus sign), the 151-151 auto-dialler will automatically check the number format with Google before letting you make the call.
The IC_CE_Pro careers page website option for Interview Coordinator will also validate candidate telephone numbers during the vacancy application process. If the candidate has not entered a number with a valid format, then they are prompted to re-enter the number before proceeding with the rest of the application. The telephone numbers will be stored in the standard international format and will always pass the Google validation test.
